In 1998, the Gebetsberger family began a close cooperation with Heltschl Medizintechnik – the leading innovator in soft laser technology. Back then, Franz Gebetsberger was the first and only sales partner of the Heltschl company.
Before that, he had worked for 20 years as a medical-technical assistant in different hospitals. His wife, Hermine Gebetsberger, also dedicated her entire professional life to medicine and patient care. As a qualified nurse, she worked in various infirmaries and in nursing care for the elderly. Together, the couple has three children: Barbara, Elisabeth and Clemens.

Due to his extensive experience in the field of medical engineering – especially soft lasers – Franz Gebetsberger was able to establish a successful collaboration with the University Clinic of Innsbruck in Tyrol.
Together, they worked to make soft laser therapy, which was still a new invention at that time, become a more widely accepted scientific and medical treatment.

As a result of their collaboration, thoroughly conducted studies for the soft laser treatment of mucositis – a side effect of chemotherapy and radiotherapy – resulted in guidelines which were implemented throughout Europe.

Over time, Franz Gebetsberger and his family realized the effectiveness and the benefits of this progressive and highly tolerable form of therapy, not just in the clinical sphere but also for home use.

It was found that the administration of the irradiation therapy at home, multiple times a day, would often lead to accelerated recovery from certain medical problems.

However, the option to rent the soft lasers for home therapy were limited at the time as well as complicated and costly.
The purchase of the therapy devices was also not affordable for the vast majority of patients – and still isn’t to this day.

The World's First Soft Laser Rental System

Recognizing the proven benefits of the soft laser therapy and the need for its availability to the wider public, Franz’s son, Clemens Gebetsberger, decided to establish a new rental system in 2018 which would make the soft laser therapy available to the entire German-speaking region. As a result, the world's first soft laser rental system for home therapy was born; drawing on the Gebetsberger family’s more than four decades of experience in the medical sector.

This system was enhanced and improved over the course of several years. Regular interaction with patients and health care professionals contributed to the optimization of the instructions for the use of soft laser therapy at home.

The team has been expanded.
As the company grew, Christin Paternoga, Sabrina Eglseer, Jacqueline Hackl, Barbara Edtmayer (née Gebetsberger) and Elisabeth Gebetsberger joined the team.
